What is Music Emphasis: General Transfer Major?
What will I learn?
The goal of the A.F.A. degree program is:
To enhance the understanding of the students who, as citizens and educated members of their communities, need to know and appreciate their own human cultural heritage and its development in a historical and global context.
To foster a sense of music literacy as students listen, analyze and sight-sing , developing a deeper understanding of the elements of music, and the combining of these through harmony and composition.
To enable the refinement of performance skills through development of vocal and/or instrumental technique, styles, musicality, knowledge of terms, notation and articulation, while improving technical proficiency and accuracy as well as musical expressiveness and aesthetic sensitivity, fostering a sense of overall musicianship.
What are my options to pay for this degree?
